Hokayanyways. This is my Mahou Shounen Valentine pic for 2008 -^^- I spent a couple days working on the pencil sketch, so many that I couldn't bear to overhaul it for the digital version. So I just added color to the pencil on Photoshop~ I'm really proud of this--the roses, the dress, that lacy-filmy...thing... on the sofa... ... ...all except the stupid cross-frame-thing I was trying out. DDDx ignore that plzkthx. Can you tell the signifigance of the cards they're holding up? Eh? Eh?? The first person who says what the signifigance of the cards is gets... gets a... A SUPER SPESHUL MINI SKETCH REQUEST! And if nobody gets it... then jeezum, you guys...! I thought it was at least a little obvious... Like it like it? I know, it's a little odd, but it's better than last year's.  At least I think so.I made an alternate version that's all sepia and has a pretty frame, but should I upload it? I am but a cold moon...without a sun I have no light. I will keep searching in this darkness, so that perhaps one day...I too would find a sun that would share its warmth with me...so that perhaps one day...I may shine again.
At first I thought the cards would add up to a winning hand in blackjack using all hearts, but they'd only add up to 17 or 7. Then I decided I was being too Nevadan with that guess (legal to gamble here). xD, so I remembered that cards in a deck can be associated with certain days or meanings. The Ace of Hearts means a desire for affection, the 2 of hearts means cooperations with loved ones, and the 4 of hearts is the marriage card.
I don't know their birthdays, so the 2 and the Ace could be tied to that, and the 4 implies that they'll be getting married eventually. xD

Even though you said to ignore it, the little border thing probably would be pretty neat if the bottom and side wasn't full of roses.
As for the cards, I have no clue; too obscure for me.

Hmm... I like the roses better >.>;;; I'm just irritated that the border (especially the top bit) looks a heckuva lot like the Flamel symbol from Fullmetal Alchemist D|
