classwork: parkomic 3

_{Alright, before you say anything, yes, this is the worst scan ever. Seeing as it's... not a scan, my scanner bed was too small, photomerge was being uncooperative, and I wound up just photographing the darn things. I might maybe be able to wrangle a better scan someday but for now this is the best I can do.}

Part of a four-page assignment for my graphic novel class. We were to do a comic completely devoid of characters, instead focusing on the Place as character. I painted a local park. By far the most common critique I got was "TOO MUCH MIDDLE GRAYS" and of course now all the whites are messed up from my photo...

A set of similar objects. The park is dedicated to my city's Japanese sister city, so there are two (nonfunctional) old-fashioned Japanese postboxes, one of which is in the bottom left.
