MS: colour

Over the past week or two I've been scrolling around colourlovers.com and pulling palettes that strike my fancy, and designing little gothic+lolita outfits based on the color schemes. Sometimes the colors are a little anachronistic for the fashion, maybe, but I think it makes for an interesting twist, y'know?

Though if the outfit has pure white anywhere in it, it's most likely because I didn't have any good colors to put there. Not every palette has a good blouse color, y'know.

I put the names of the palettes next to the outfit, but usually the name didn't influence the design--I tried very hard to forget there was a name at all. The only palette here that isn't on colourlovers is Takashi's "half of the pier," which was my own attempt at creating a palette out of a photo I'd taken of... a pier. I nixed half the colors when I realized they just weren't working, though, hence the "half."

Yeah the heights vary wildly orz... They're just sketches, though, not anything finished... I was using the characters more as convenient heads to stick on the outfits, really... well, ok, their personalities contributed a little.
